Hello, my name is Grant and I am the practice owner and principal dentist here at Davidson’s Mains Dental.
I am originally from the north east of Scotland where I graduated with a BSc in 2009 and then in 2013 from the University of Aberdeen with a BDS.
I enjoy all aspects of general dentistry and love to keep up to date with new techniques and current evidence-supported dentistry. I have a keen interest in short term orthodontics and can offer treatment using the Invisalign and Quick straight teeth system. Outside of dentistry I enjoy playing Golf, running, travelling and spending time with my family.

Hello, my name is Jane, I am an associate dentist at Davidson’s Mains Dental.
I’m originally from the Wirral, England and graduated from Leeds University in 2014. I have since been practicing as a general dentist, working in England before moving to Edinburgh in 2022 with my family.
I have a keen interest in minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry. I am certified in the use of Invisalign clear aligners and am always striving to improve and enhance the treatments I can offer to my patients. I have recently completed a diploma in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughters.
Abigail Sanders-Dutton

Hello, my name is Abi and I am an associate dentist at Davidson’s Mains Dental
I’m originally from Devon and graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2020 with honours and was awarded the Marshall Swan Prize. I then moved from Belfast to Edinburgh to start her career as a general dentist.
I recently joined the practice in July 2024 and the last few years, has carried out further examinations and became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2021. I’m currently a Totally Aesthetic Delegate and completing a postgraduate diploma in Aesthetic and Restorative Dentistry and will be learning to place implants later in 2024.
I have a particular interest in helping slightly more anxious patients and can provide IV sedation for patients. Being a member of Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD).
I enjoy all aspects of dentistry and strives to achieve her patient’s goals whether for general oral health or cosmetic treatment through minimally invasive dentistry.
Outside of dentistry, I enjoy keeping fit and being outdoors as well as spending time with family and friends.

Hello, my name is Andrew and I am the visiting Implant Dentist at Davidson’s Mains Dental.
I have trained extensively in surgical dentistry across Europe and I am delighted to be able to provide successful implant options here at Davidson’s Mains. I am passionate about delivering quality evidence based treatments. I strive to help patients understand the procedure in a simple way and I like my patients to take an active part in their treatment planning.

Hello, my name is Laura and I am one of the dental hygiene therapist here at Davidson’s Mains Dental. I work on a Thursday.
You may be referred to see me for hygiene appointments at the practice or primary restorative care for adults and children.
I qualified as a therapist from the University of the Highlands & Islands completing my BSc in Oral Health Sciences. My university was based in the highland capital of Inverness which is now very much my home away from home. Although I enjoyed my time in the highlands I am pleased to be back on the central belt.
I pride myself on being approachable to all patients and going the extra mile to ensure your dental experience is a pleasant one. I consistently aim to reassure where required and provide Oral Health education throughout the treatment process allowing you to gain a high standard of holistic care.

Over the years I have worked as staff Hygienist at Edinburgh Dental Institute, Tutor Hygienist at Edinburgh School of Dental Hygiene and worked throughout the Edinburgh area in private & NHS practices.
